Jewellery care

99.99% pure 'Fine Silver' is less prone to tarnishing than sterling silver, but it can still naturally oxidise and lose its shine over time.

To minimise tarnishing, put your jewellery on after you applying makeup, perfume and hairspray. Try to keep it dry and away from chlorine and chemical cleaning solutions.

When you aren't wearing your jewellery, store it somewhere dry and protected from scratches, ideally in a dry, airtight container and away from sunlight. Take extra care with chains as they can easily become tangled or kinked.

Cleaning your jewellery

If your jewellery does get a little dull over time,  a silver polishing cloth is the easiest and safest way to restore its shine. For a gentler clean you can wash your jewellery in a little warm water with a mild, natural washing-up liquid, then rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft cloth.

Be careful using strong, chemical jewellery cleaning solutions, as they can remove the blackened patina finish that I use to define some of my pieces.

Sea Glass Jewellery

Your sea glass jewellery can be cleaned in the same way as your silver jewellery, using a little warm water and gentle washing-up liquid then drying with a soft cloth.

I like to preserve the frosted finish of the sea glass, keeping it looking exactly as I found it. But if you prefer a brighter, more polished appearance, you can rub the glass with a little olive oil and gently buff with a soft cloth to remove the excess. If you change your mind and prefer the frosted finish, this process can easily be reversed by rubbing the glass with a little washing up liquid and warm water to remove the oil.
