Eco Friendly Recycled Silver Croyde Limpet Pendant.
 
This pendant has been individually handcrafted in Croyde, North Devon, from 'Silver Clay', a wonderful material made of tiny silver particles that have been recycled from the waste of the silver industry, which when fired become 99.99% pure solid silver.
 
The shape of the little limpet shell has been captured using a mould of a real limpet shell I found on Croyde Beach, in North Devon. The finished solid silver shell has been coated with a patina which blackens the surface of the silver, before polishing the surface of the silver back to a shiny silver finish, leaving the patina in the recesses to accentuate its ridges beautifully.
 
The shell measures 1.7cm tall including the ring and 1cm wide.
 
The Pendant is available either as a pendant alone, or strung on your choice of Sterling Silver Chain. It will arrive with you in a Recycled Wild Silver Jewellery box, safely packaged in 100% recycled, plastic free packaging.
 
Limpets are very hardy little creatures that withstand many life threatening dangers, from predators trying to break its grasp of the rock it is attached to, to the damaging effects of the elements at low tide. It achieves all of this by attaching itself to the rock with its super strong muscular ‘foot’ and storing a little seawater within its shell. We can take these qualities to remember that we too can survive many adverse conditions by keeping ourselves grounded and by surrounding ourselves with a little of the good stuff!. This pendant would make the perfect gift for someone who needs a little reminder of their inner strength when it comes to tough times.
